On the front foot with FLO
This successful shoe business was founded in 1960 by Ahmet Zilan as a small shoemaking workshop. Today, FLO is an actively growing and dynamically developing company that is constantly expanding into new markets. From its humble beginnings, Flo now employs more than ten thousand people and sells more than 55 million pairs of shoes annually. Flo stores offer a large range of traditional and active footwear for men, women and children alike.
The company has a strong presence in Eastern Europe, The Middle East and Africa. In fact, Flo operates 650 stores in approximately 25 countries. 17 countries of which work within the framework of franchising. Flo is the market leader in the footwear retail category in Turkey, Morocco and Kazakhstan - with very large footprints in Iraq, Georgia and Kenya.

The company is constantly expanding its portfolio of brands. In 2012, Flo bought out Lumberjack and continued its growth by acquiring the Turkish license to Nine West in 2019. In addition, Flo also has shoe brands such as Kinetix, Dockers by Gerli, Polaris, Butigo and Mercedes in their portfolio; many of which are leaders in their field, both in-store and wholesale.
Flo, which is by far the leader in its sector, acts with the vision of leading the shoe industry in Turkey and carrying on to be a top industry world production leader. It has been continuing its activities and investments without any signs of slowing, with the goal of being one of the top ten global brands to emerge from Turkey by 2023.
Flo is known to be pioneer of the Turkish footwear industry. The company has led the industry by investing millions of Euros creating two manufacturing factories in the south-eastern Turkish city of Sanliurfa. Therein lies the heart and soul of their industrial production and export base for the country's shoe industry which plays a strategic role in the structural transformation of the industry worldwide.
To start your own Flo franchise, you’ll need a minimum of 600 m² of store space in order to present Flo’s full seasonal collection. Stores should also be located in prime locations such as shopping malls or busy shopping streets.
