Virtual Restaurant Partner
Taster offers kitchen operators access to scalable delivery-only restaurant brands, without the need for a new venue or high franchise entry costs.
Founded in Paris in 2017, Taster has positioned itself as one of Europe’s fastest-growing virtual restaurant groups. The company operates exclusively through third-party delivery platforms such as Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Glovo. Currently, Taster runs over 160 kitchens across France, the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands, present in more than 90 cities, with further expansion planned into new European markets.
Taster’s delivery-only model is built around a licensing system, providing local kitchen partners with access to its established food delivery brands, standardized operational processes, ingredient supply chains and integrated digital order systems. The company’s portfolio includes high-demand, delivery-optimized brands such as Out Fry (Korean fried chicken), Mission Saigon (Vietnamese street food), A Burgers (plant-based burgers) and Pepe Chicken (classic chicken dishes).
Licensing structure, costs and revenue potential
Taster licenses its brands to commercial kitchens, cloud kitchens, and restaurant owners seeking to diversify or extend their operations into the food delivery segment. The model requires no additional physical venue, as partners work from their existing kitchen facilities. An initial licensing fee of €1,500 for the first brand and €1,000 for each additional brand is charged. In addition, a commission fee ranging from 20% to 30% applies to order revenue, depending on the local market and sales volumes.
On average, Taster kitchens generate €825,000 in yearly sales per location. Monthly turnover typically falls between €15,000 and €30,000 in medium-sized cities, while mature markets like Paris and Brussels reach over €100,000 monthly per kitchen. The company reports that in the past 12 months, its network has delivered over 3.3 million meals across Europe.
Operational support and digital business infrastructure
Taster provides its partners with comprehensive onboarding, including training in kitchen workflows, menu preparation standards, packaging guidelines and digital systems integration. Through its centralized supply chain, the company ensures consistency in ingredients and operational performance across its entire network.
Partners benefit from access to brand-level marketing, social media activity and menu updates, while remaining responsible for local kitchen operations, staff management and daily performance. All orders are managed through Taster’s proprietary software, integrated directly with major delivery platforms to simplify logistics and reporting.
Taster’s business model offers a low-capital, scalable opportunity for commercial kitchen owners and restaurant operators aiming to enter or expand in the rapidly growing food delivery market. Its proven brands, operational tools and established market presence make it a viable option for operators seeking to boost their delivery business with recognized digital restaurant concepts.
