Children’s education grown organically
The Helen Doron Educational Group has been offering the gift of learning since 1985. The franchise provides outstanding educational franchise business opportunities for qualified entrepreneurs and prospective franchise partners. Helen Doron’s innovative and proven methodology is the creative inspiration behind the company’s flagship franchise, Helen Doron English, along with the Helen Doron Kindergarten, MathRiders, and Ready, Steady, Move! franchises.
From a home-based business, Helen Doron English has grown to encompass more than 1,000 learning centres in 36 countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Now, more than ever, the company keeps proving they’re a highly profitable business with a proven global franchise model. The company constantly moves with the times, addressing new demands and needs, growing forever organically in the process. Even amidst the global pandemic, they’ve proven to be global leaders after taking out for the third consecutive time, the prestigious Global Franchise Award for Global Mentorship. This follows last year’s win in the same category and also in 2019 for the Best Children’s and Education Franchise.
CEO and Founder Helen Doron, accepted the award online as part of the awards ceremony, which was held virtually due to the ongoing pandemic. In her acceptance speech, Ms Doron said this award demonstrates to the world that the Helen Doron Educational Group is here to give strong support in all circumstances. "We are delighted to accept the award for our Global Mentorship and the 24/7 support we provide our franchisees and entire network during the pandemic,” she said.
“On hearing of the (temporary) closure of many of our 1,100 centres in 38 countries, including our English franchises, Maths franchises and Kindergarten franchises, we immediately sprang into action right from the start of the crisis. With students and teachers stuck at home, we needed an effective and uniform way for teachers to teach online as a franchise. Our pedagogic team widened to include our teacher trainers worldwide, and together we created over 800 interactive online lessons within a month. We trained over 4,000 active teachers, and we kept our students learning, supported them with marketing materials and campaigns to keep our franchisees profitable,” explained Ms. Doron.
“Winning a third Global Award solidifies our commitment to providing ongoing mentorship as an example to the franchise world how important it is to react positively to a crisis and use it as an opportunity to extend the brand. Our franchisees and teachers are very appreciative of all the materials we provided, and many of them increased their student numbers. Daily tips were also created for parents, empowering them to take advantage of the time at home with their children. Games, activities, educational videos, and lessons were offered free of charge through digital channels.”
With over 35 years of excellence in developing and teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) to children of all ages, it’s clear Helen Doron knows what it takes to launch and grow a business from the ground up. Their team provides franchisees with ongoing training and support, from start-up assistance to ongoing marketing, sales, organisational, administrative and pedagogic training.
Ms Doron believes it’s their passion for the industry and constant support that helps the business grow. “Many of our parents love what their children are learning and decide to become franchisees, as they want to do something that’s worthwhile for themselves and their communities. It’s many people’s ideal to work in a business they are passionate about,” Ms Doron said in an interview.
“I am often asked how I get so many wonderful people joining the network who are so enthusiastic about their careers, and my response is always: ‘Birds of a feather flock together’. We have really built a community of like-minded people who want to make significant changes in the world and of course, they want to make money doing what they like doing.
“This is why they join us. We have students who love learning with us, and their greatest dream is to become a Helen Doron teacher. We also advertise, but most of our growth on all levels is organic. Most teachers and franchisees come through knowing other people and recommendations from others. People love the methodology and the core values. It works and the children love it!”
Franchising with Helen Doron is more than joining a successful organization with a proven and highly profitable business model. It is about becoming part of a global community committed to educating the next generation, equipping them with a high level of English that will allow them to compete in the global marketplace and teaching them to be better world citizens. More than three million children worldwide have benefited from learning English with the Helen Doron method; one of them just might turn out to be the next master franchisee in the ever-branching tree of life that is the Helen Doron Educational Group.
