Where can we find your franchises around the world?
Koykan operates as an international brand, currently present in Croatia, Slovakia, and Czechia, with further market expansion underway in Germany, Austria, and Slovenia.
How does one become a franchisee?
A typical franchise journey begins when a potential partner contacts Koykan through our website form. We then conduct an initial interview and schedule a Discovery Day. If both parties agree to move forward, we sign the franchise agreement and begin the training process and location search.
What financial commitment is required to join your franchise network?
Our franchise fee is 20,000 EUR. A typical investment in the store ranges from 200,000 to 250,000 EUR. The average payback period per location is 30 months.
What are the ongoing fees associated with owning a franchise?
A franchise royalty fee is a regular monthly payment that a franchisee pays to the franchisor, and the Koykan Franchise Agreement defines this royalty as 6% of gross revenue. The marketing fee amounts to 2% of gross sales and is paid to the franchisor on an ongoing basis, and it is used to promote brand awareness and drive customer engagement. The digital store support fee amounts to 1% of gross sales and is also paid to the franchisor on an ongoing basis, and this fee covers maintenance and assistance for the use of our in-house cloud-based digital tools as well as hardware and software solutions for restaurant business management.
How does the company support new franchisees in getting started?
Koykan supports new franchisees through a comprehensive set of services. This support includes business planning, site selection and evaluation, store setup and launch support, training and education programs, advanced digital solutions such as POS, ERP, and BI, operational support, technical assistance, and marketing and business development support.
What revenue potential can franchisees expect?
An average yearly revenue for a Koykan store is 700,000 EUR.
What are the main responsibilities of franchisees?
The main responsibilities of franchisees include overseeing daily operations in line with Koykan's standards to ensure service excellence. Franchisees must implement all brand standards as defined in the Book of Standards. They are responsible for ensuring profitability and the timely payment of franchise fees. They must also execute localised marketing initiatives aligned with central campaigns. Franchisees are expected to participate in onboarding programs, regular training, mystery audits, and performance reviews to maintain system-wide excellence. Furthermore, they must comply with all franchise agreements and regulatory requirements to ensure full alignment with Koykan's operational and ethical standards.
