Bakery revolution
Established in Romania in 2001, Fornetti has consistently expanded its number of stores, partners, and product range each year. The company introduced the street-food concept in the region, catering to a growing market demand. In 2015, Fornetti was acquired by Aryzta AG, one of the largest global groups in the baking industry. This acquisition further strengthened Fornetti's brand presence across European markets, making it a significant player in the retail and wholesale sectors.
Fornetti boasts an impressive network of over 800 franchise units across the country. The brand's reach extends beyond Romania, with products available in 17 countries across Europe, serving nearly one million customers daily. According to franchisor - Fornetti's extensive range includes fine bakery products, daily white bakery items, and a continuously expanding assortment of food products. With support from the ARYZTA network, Fornetti now offers access to over 5000 products from leading European bakeries.
Becoming a Fornetti franchisee
To become a Fornetti franchisee, prospective partners must follow several steps to ensure they meet the company’s standards and requirements. Firstly, they must establish a commercial company and either own or have the ability to rent and set up a suitable space (15-25 square meters) located in high foot traffic areas or large shopping centers. Once a suitable location is identified, Fornetti will conduct a thorough market study to assess its potential. A company representative will visit the site for evaluation and provide recommendations for setup. After approval and agreement on the setup, the franchise contract is signed, legally outlining the rights and obligations of both parties.
The initial franchise fee for Fornetti is 1000 EUR, in addition to the costs associated with setting up the store. This includes securing the necessary equipment such as a 400-liter capacity freezer, counters matching the shop's image, and supplementary items like racks and trays. Fornetti offers comprehensive support in setting up the shop’s interior and exterior decorations to ensure it aligns with the brand’s standards.
Franchisee support
Fornetti provides extensive support to ensure the success of its franchisees. This includes shop planning and installation, where Fornetti's specialists design custom store layouts that economically and ergonomically optimize the available space. After technical measurements, a 3D graphic design and quotation are provided free of charge. Once approved, the shop is installed at the agreed time. Comprehensive bake-off training is provided, covering baking instructions, equipment usage, shelf arrangement, and operational advice. Sales representatives regularly visit franchise partners, offering advice on baking technology, product quality, ordering, sales support, and technical issues. Continuous, nationwide promotions are conducted to attract customers. Fornetti provides promotional materials free of charge, including creative point-of-sales information leaflets, posters, price tags, and individual indoor and outdoor signs. Fornetti also guarantees fast technical service, addressing any issues within 24 hours to ensure minimal disruption to operations - said franchisor.

Fornetti's guiding principles focus on fresh ideas and exciting concepts to meet modern challenges. The ultimate goal is to provide solutions driven by quality and competitiveness, supporting partners across a wide spectrum. By accompanying products from manufacturing to the consumer, Fornetti ensures consistent high quality and a seamless experience for both franchisees and customers.
